In Korea, many awards ceremonies are held at the end of the year. There are separate award ceremonies for acting, music, and comedy. The top 3 broadcast stations each have their own events in each category. With so many award categories, sometimes it is hard to keep up. The majority of the ceremonies take place in the last week of December. They are aired live. By the time they wrap up, it's often very late. The award recipients give acceptance speeches.
